 | 15th Mar 2006 | 5164 - The Severn Valley Local
This one should have featured 5199 visiting from Llangollen which was sadly unavailable
5164 ably stood in its stead and despite a dire forecast, the sun shone in the afternoon
Many thanks to Vic , Dave , John and Roy , our crew for the day and the SVR for doing everything possible to get 5199 ready

 | 31st Jan 2006 | 42968 on the SVR
Our first event of 2006 featuring Stanier Mogul 42968. Sadly what another correspondant has described as anti-cyclonic gloom pervaded all day, only clearing at the very end to allow some colour in the sky for Sillouettes. My thanks to The SVR for the day and especially ,the footplate vrew - Vic & Dave , Guard Paul and our travelling signalman John. The run pasts were excellent and the set looked superb . A re-run next year I think

I've been interested in steam ever since I was a child . Once into my teens I grew increasingly interested in capturing on camera , images like those I'd seen in books .
The big step forward in terms of both quality and quantity of output was participating in Photo charters. Since 1997 I have been arranging occasional events under the "30742 Charters" . All proceeds of which go to railway preservation .
Camera's are Minolta x300 and x500's . Film has ranged from Kodachrome 64 , Agfa Scala and Fuji Provia , Velvia and Sensia . I also use Mamiya 645 and a Yashicamat 124g but no medium format scanner yet ! . Occasionally I make use of my wife's fuji finepix d700
